Camp Big Walnut is a fun, activity-filled day camp for kids. Each day is filled with sports, water activities, and more! Camp Big Walnut is run entirely by students who take pride in making sure all the kids have fun.

What do we offer?

Activities

Some of Camp Big Walnuts’ activities include slip and slides, sports, painting, dessert making, creative games, tye dye, and much more.!

Food

Each kid has the option to buy a lunch for $5 each day. The provided food is all homemade and very delicious!

Safety

To ensure safety we have a team of 4+ responsible teenagers ready to help in case of any emergency. Additionally, the camp director’s house is next to Camp Big Walnut so there is always an adult ready to help. All counselor's are trained in first aid / CPR. We also have a counselor who is life guard certified.

Friendship

Camp Big Walnut is a great place for your kid to make friends from all different schools. Our goal is to make sure that all the kids get along and meet new people

Camp Big Walnut runs from 10-3 from Monday to Friday. We accept cash, Venmo, PayPal and CashApp payments.

  • Ben and James Keppler

    Ben is a Director and Head Counselor

    James is an assistant director and Counselor

  • More about them

    Ben and James are siblings who have been working together at Camp Big Walnut since the beginning 6 years ago. Both were involved in Boy Scouts and are properly trained in First AID / CPR.

    Ben is a rising senior at Yortown High School

    James is looking forward to his first year as a freshman at Yorktown High School.

    This year will be Gehrig’s third year as a counselor at Camp Big Walnut. He is also life guard certified meaning he is trained in First AID / CPR.
